    I have had plantar fasciitis for more than 18 months now. I got to know about Austin (barefootwill) from twitter, and decided to work with him. He is an expert in this matter. He made an exercise plan for me by checking my feet and gait. Reducing weight and using his services has reduced my pain significantly. I definitely recommend him.

    I was out of options when I learned about Barefoot Will from my son who is an internal medicine MD and who follows Will on X.


    I had Morton's neuroma, peroneal tendonitis, and hallux limitus. The orthopedic surgeon and podiatrist were out of ideas as injections and orthotics were not working. Even walking was painful primarily due to my neuroma and I had to quit the run part of my HIIT workout and playing pickleball.


    Will built a custom program for my situation and was extremely patient and continued to fine tune whenever a particular exercise was too painful. I also transitioned to wide toe box zero drop shoes and after 3 months my pain gradually dissipated by 90% and I'm able to resume my long walks and running. I plan on returning to pickleball in the summer.


    Will's app with scheduling and exercise demo videos is fantastic along with his online meetings. Beyond that, Will has a caring personality and knows how to work around problems with easy fixes

    My foot pain was getting worse, and I knew I needed help. Luckily, I found an expert: Barefoot Will. Four months later, I couldn’t be happier.


    Like a lot of people, my pain was getting worse, not better, and I was frustrated. Working with my doctor hadn’t helped. The doctor gave me a quick diagnosis, and the same exercises I’d been given two decades ago, and was told it would take a very long time to recover. Months went by and things only got worse. I became concerned that I might soon be forced to give up my exercise walking.


    Luckily, I happened to see a message on social media that caught my attention. It was Will from Barefoot Will sharing his approach to recovering from foot pain. What he said seemed smart and far more practical than what my doctor had suggested.


    I took advantage of his offer for a brief free conversation to see if he could help. I described my situation, and he immediately replied that he knew exactly what the problem was. He had worked with it many times before and had even spoken with another man the day before who described my exact situation.


    Will spent time explaining that I had been misdiagnosed. He outlined a clear, strategic plan of targeted foot exercises and spoke with great knowledge and confidence. The experience was everything I had hoped for. It took a little while for things to start improving, but then they did, and I got better week by week. What had been constant pain gradually turned into just mild discomfort.


    Importantly, Will also provided an ongoing exercise plan to maintain my progress and even strengthen my feet further if I wanted. He remains available if I ever need him again.

    I hired Barefoot Will to help me out with mobility issues. I am 42 and I was limited in my two favorite activities; jiu-jitsu and lifting.

    He designed a plan for me that was easy to incorporate into my gym time and checked in frequently to see how I was doing or to make modifications.

    With his program I saw improvement relatively quickly. I'm not 100% to where I want to be but I'm way better than I was before meeting him. I incorporate his exercises into lifting sessions, warming up for jiu-jitsu, and stretching on off days and I feel way better.

    As a mid thirties and purple belt in jiujitsu, with chronic turf toe, arch issues, and ankle pain for over two years, I had almost lost hope in ever being to take part in activities as simple as walking barefoot or jogging without feeling pain. I went to numerous doctors, who either recommended surgery or declared my joint inflammation a "medical mystery".


    I reached out to Will after coming across his content online, and immediately recognized his thorough knowledge about foot and ankle physiology, and means to address structural imbalances. He designed a comprehensive, easy to follow program, and I went to work. It took a few weeks of dedicated effort, but I started make "strides" in my range of motion and pain reduction, particularly in my toe joints. He also helped me to pick out more supportive footwear that actually look and feel normal enough to wear day to day.


    After four months of working with Will, I am happy to report that I am able to run three miles pain free for the first time in three years, and train jiujitsu without taping my foot up. I do find that it is critical to be consistent with the program exercises. You must put in the work to get the results you desire, but Will shows you the way. Highly recommend working with Barefoot Will!

    I had been following Barefoot Will’s Substack plantar fasciitis protocol for a couple of months with some success when I decided to work one-to-one with him in hopes of speeding progress. This was a good decision.  Will is a good listener who combines passion for his job with excellent perception and first-rate clinical skills. He built a personal program for me from day one. He recommended  using an app that will track as little or as much of your workout data as you wish. It combines Will’s unique-to-you rehab plan, video how-to’s for exercises and logs your completed work. (This keeps you honest! ) Check-in calls or texting are available for questions.  My heel pain continues to improve—which is great—but it is the gain in strength and flexibility in my feet, ankles, hips that is the unexpected bonus. In some ways it is like my feet are finally awake after many years. I look forward to wearing toe spacers during exercises and while relaxing at the end of the day. Toe socks and wide-toe box shoes are part of my regular wardrobe. Thanks Will.

    I’m a stunt performer from the UK and wanted to get off using orthotics and get my feet and ankles as strong as I possibly could.     Anyone reading this, you’re probably thinking that your foot pain is set-in for life, and that gritting your teeth is the only option. It’s not! That’s where I was for the first half of 2025, but after 4 months of Will’s guidance via zoom calls and tailored programs, I am in the best position and experiencing the least amount of pain in my left foot since I first got plantar fasciitis in 2020.     Barefoot Will is the real deal! I came to him in search of a solution to my recent history of plantar fasciitis, posterior tibial tendonitis, and stress fractures.

    My runs have been really good. Zero pain afterward. I've had no pain for multiple weeks now. The last time we spoke, I mentioned I was doing a roof job. It lasted about 6 days, and I had no pain, whereas before it would start right away. My feet have also adjusted to wearing my Jim Greens full-time at work now. Overall, I'm feeling great.

    I started working with Will to proactively build a better foundation for CrossFit movement and to address some lingering foot pain. Early on, I noticed that the programming was effectively making my foot muscles sore, and it wasn't long before I was developing foot strength and flexibility that I've never had, better toe use and splay, and awareness of how my feet were connecting with the ground to facilitate movement.     I have a child with CMT which is a peripheral neuropathy which has affected the structure of her foot.

    I’ve dealt with achilles issues on and off over the past 10ish years. Working with barefoot Will was awesome. I hired him when I was training for a 50k trail race.

    He put together a plan that fit my schedule and we adjusted based on the demands of my training.

    I injured my feet running on a curved manual treadmill - did too much, too fast, in xero shoes. I struggled along with foot/ankle pain for about a year. I was proactive but didn't have a program. My mileage went from 20 miles a week to maybe 5.

    Will listened to my problems. Watched me move via a video call. Then he developed a program and we tweaked it along the way.

    Over 2 months, I got about 80-85% recovered. I'm not 100%, but I'm still improving and can run and lift normally. I've shared a lot of the exercises with friends. I would use Will again and recommend him if you're having foot/ankle problems.

    I have major foot issues due to neuropathy. Barefoot Will was able to adapt a unique plan for me that, despite major setbacks and having this conditions for a long time, has me much stronger and doing things I never imagined.

    I struggled with Achilles and Plantar Fasciitis pain for over a year. I tried traditional PT and every quick fix I could find on the internet. I was in a panic when the Achilles flared up just as my first marathon training was getting started.

    That's when I found Barefoot Will. He quickly evaluated where I was at and came up with a plan to get me to my immediate goal (completing the marathon) and beyond. We tweaked the plan as I progressed and I really benefited from the check-in sessions along the way. I was able to complete my training and finish my first marathon without any Achilles/PF pain, which I never thought was going to be possible. Every morning I wake up without those first few steps of PF pain is a reminder of how far l've come.     I had an old injury that wouldn't stop irritating me, I had gone to the doctors and they thought it was due to back issues, but it was more groin from my perspective. 2 years of pain and discomfort later I found Barefoot Will on Twitter/X.

    I decided to send him a DM after great success with the implementation of barefoot shoes into my life on his recommendation through just seeing his posts about them on twitter. We scheduled an intro call about where I was experiencing pain and during the call he explained his background, what had happened to my body in detail and how we could fix it.

    After the in depth explanation that he shared with me about my injury I went forward with training and rehab. Over the previous two years I was barely able to do legs, it was very on and off and most times I was barely able to walk or sit comfortably. Before my intro call I was ready to stop doing legs because of how much pain the previous session had put me in.

    Using the techniques and training plan I was given, legs is once again my favorite day to train at the gym and I can now do legs without pain. After I workout legs, it's the best I feel all week long and I look forward to training them instead of dreading it or deciding if I even can.

    I achieved great results during the program and have continued training as taught with additional variations and can not be more grateful for the strength gained, pain decrease and expertise I was provided.

    Alleviating 20 months of foot pain while trying to balance 100k training weeks at 45 years old with 30,000 lifetime miles on my legs was looking more hopeless by the week. I had come to the conclusion that I was either going to have to take a significant break, or, just deal with it until I couldn't anymore. Luckily I met Austin in September of 2024. We began working together a few weeks later and 2 months in, my feet feel consistently better than they have in well over a year (with zero time off). It's taken consistent work and collaboration, but we made it happen.

    I started my fitness journey in October of 2023, during this journey I lost over 70+ pounds and found a passion for running.

    After about 6 months of running I began to experience really bad heel pain and some pain in and around my achilles. I tried running through it for some time and it just became unbearable. I stopped running for over 9 months while trying numerous insoles, different shoes, home remedies, and nothing would ease the pain. I eventually went to a podiatrist who had the best ratings in town. They took X-rays of both of my feet and discovered I had heel spurs. The podiatrist recommended injections, another costly pair of insoles, and a calf stretcher. I tried the insoles, calf stretcher and recommended stretches and still had no relief. At this point, I was depressed because I really thought I would never run again.

    I saw Barefoot Will on my X feed one day and immediately scheduled a call. I had no expectations going into the call and just wanted to see what he would say. After the call, Will gave me a different and unique outlook on why I was having these problems. He explained why the recommendations from the podiatrist did not work and how his approach was completely different. At this point, I was really curious and sold. I signed up to begin his program on February 1st. He asked me my goals for the program and I told him I wanted to be able to run in an upcoming 5k and complete it. The 5k was less than two months away. Not only did I run and complete the 5k, I came in first place in the male category. Will got me back to running quickly and completely pain free. Now as his program ends, I am back to running three days a week and loving every bit of it.

    Will doesn’t give you a cookie cutter program to follow. He tailors everything specific to your needs and goals. He also educates you on the WHY which is very important to maintain the progress. Will is easily accessible for any form tips or advice and continues to advance your program making it more challenging and fun! I cannot say enough great things about Barefoot Wills program. He helped me achieve things I thought I would never do again. Don’t make the mistake I made by trying everything else first and stumbling upon his program as my last resort. Had I started his program at the very beginning of this all, and no telling where I could be now! Check him out!

    I spent more than 10 years struggling with chronic pain in my feet. Podiatrist prescribed orthotic inserts were not providing relief. I could not walk or stand barefoot or in flip flops. Showering barefoot was uncomfortable.

    Barefoot Will’s program and coaching were life changing!

    18 months after completion of the program, I experience ZERO daily chronic pain.
    I can spend days in a row barefoot or in flip flops. I wear shoes of my choice with no consideration to arch support or cushioning. All orthotic inserts have been thrown away.

    This review is much overdue!

    There were a variety of feet issues that I needed to address, ranging from flat foot/collapsed arch, curling toe, and misaligned big toe from the First MTP and middle phalanges. Mostly accrued from wearing restrictive soccer cleats and shoes with small toe boxes over the years.

    I came across Barefoot Will'a social media accounts and booked a consultation. We then worked together over several months gradually increasing the intensity of exercises tailored to my specific needs.

    Within the first month I could see noticeable changes both in my balance and ability to completely splay the toes.

    I definitely recommend Barefoot Will's services to anyone that's been struggling with ankle pain, bunions, or other potentially correctable feet issues you're struggling with. I was blown away by his knowledgeable Austin is and the patience and care he gives you individually. 10/10!

    I was dealing with ankle tightness and foot pain and it was affecting my Strongman training. After following the protocol Austin (Barefoot Will) gave me, my ankles could move freely and my foot pain was eliminated. Shortly after fixing that I was able to rack pull 725 pounds!!

    I had issues with plantar fasciitis in both feet, especially my right one for about 9-10 months. It basically shut me down from running, walking the golf course, fully being able to play with my grandkids, etc.

    Tried all the “fixes” - shot, rolling pin, you name it, I tried it. None of them worked. Found Barefoot Will through a friend and got educated on what causes this issue and he correctly diagnosed mine had progressed to a degeneration of the plantar fascia.

    Have used his services for the past 4 1/2 months. It took a lot of work but it has been a game changer for me. I can now do all the things I could do before the issue arose and honestly have a much stronger base in my feet, knees, and hips.

    I’ve started doing the majority the exercises 2-3 times a week to balance my 4/5 days of running.

    I struggled with chronic Plantar fasciitis for 2+ years until I met Will. 2+ years of every day foot pain that was affecting every aspect of my life. I visited with two podiatrists who spent 3 minutes with me before throwing me foot insole after foot insole, and honestly it made this even worse.

    Then, I met Austin (Barefoot Will) via Twitter and he helped heal me within (literally) 3 months of training. His program completely changed my life - and I have been pain free without Plantar Fasciitis since I completed his program. He introduces strength and conditioning to your foot, ankle, knee and leg muscles that will make you stronger. No foot insoles here to block the pain - only exercises to strengthen those muscles.     Barefoot Will's excellent twitter content led me down the path of fixing my lazy feet. As a kid, I had plantar fascitis and achilles tendonitis. The standard of care led to orthotics and ultra supportive shoes. Over the decades, I noticed my overpronation got progressively worse. I continued to do nothing because I didn't have any issues or pain. Eventually, I just wanted to fix the overpronation.

    Will's customized/ personalized guidance has set me on the right path going forward. I've ditched the orthotics, I'm wearing barefoot shoes, and my arches have begun to strengthen. His professionalism and expertise have been a delight.

    I've dealt with plantar fasciitis for 18 years. In the beginning it was only after running. The last two years it was all the time. I've done physical therapy, gotten several steroid shots, a prp injection and have worn a boot. Still it persisted.

    After another rough day on my feet I was scrolling on social media and came across Barefoot Will(Austin).

    The foot cramps have gone away as well as the knee pain. I have been doing the mobility exercises as well as some stretching. I have been wearing Flux shoes for about a month and absolutely love them.

    I struggled with foot pain that was keeping me from being able to work my job. For starters my arch pain is basically gone!

    I was out of options when I learned about Barefoot Will from my son who is an internal medicine MD and who follows Will on X.


    I had Morton's neuroma, peroneal tendonitis, and hallux limitus. The orthopedic surgeon and podiatrist were out of ideas as injections and orthotics were not working. Even walking was painful primarily due to my neuroma and I had to quit the run part of my HIIT workout and playing pickleball.


    Will built a custom program for my situation and was extremely patient and continued to fine tune whenever a particular exercise was too painful. I also transitioned to wide toe box zero drop shoes and after 3 months my pain gradually dissipated by 90% and I'm able to resume my long walks and running. I plan on returning to pickleball in the summer.

    My foot pain was getting worse, and I knew I needed help. Luckily, I found an expert: Barefoot Will. Four months later, I couldn’t be happier.


    Like a lot of people, my pain was getting worse, not better, and I was frustrated. Working with my doctor hadn’t helped. The doctor gave me a quick diagnosis, and the same exercises I’d been given two decades ago, and was told it would take a very long time to recover. Months went by and things only got worse. I became concerned that I might soon be forced to give up my exercise walking.


    Luckily, I happened to see a message on social media that caught my attention. It was Will from Barefoot Will sharing his approach to recovering from foot pain. What he said seemed smart and far more practical than what my doctor had suggested.

    I hired Barefoot Will to help me out with mobility issues. I am 42 and I was limited in my two favorite activities; jiu-jitsu and lifting.

    He designed a plan for me that was easy to incorporate into my gym time and checked in frequently to see how I was doing or to make modifications.

    As a mid thirties and purple belt in jiujitsu, with chronic turf toe, arch issues, and ankle pain for over two years, I had almost lost hope in ever being to take part in activities as simple as walking barefoot or jogging without feeling pain. I went to numerous doctors, who either recommended surgery or declared my joint inflammation a "medical mystery".


    I reached out to Will after coming across his content online, and immediately recognized his thorough knowledge about foot and ankle physiology, and means to address structural imbalances. He designed a comprehensive, easy to follow program, and I went to work. It took a few weeks of dedicated effort, but I started make "strides" in my range of motion and pain reduction, particularly in my toe joints. He also helped me to pick out more supportive footwear that actually look and feel normal enough to wear day to day.


    After four months of working with Will, I am happy to report that I am able to run three miles pain free for the first time in three years, and train jiujitsu without taping my foot up. I do find that it is critical to be consistent with the program exercises. You must put in the work to get the results you desire, but Will shows you the way. Highly recommend working with Barefoot Will!

    I had been following Barefoot Will’s Substack plantar fasciitis protocol for a couple of months with some success when I decided to work one-to-one with him in hopes of speeding progress. This was a good decision.  Will is a good listener who combines passion for his job with excellent perception and first-rate clinical skills. He built a personal program for me from day one. He recommended  using an app that will track as little or as much of your workout data as you wish. It combines Will’s unique-to-you rehab plan, video how-to’s for exercises and logs your completed work. (This keeps you honest! ) Check-in calls or texting are available for questions.  My heel pain continues to improve—which is great—but it is the gain in strength and flexibility in my feet, ankles, hips that is the unexpected bonus. In some ways it is like my feet are finally awake after many years. I look forward to wearing toe spacers during exercises and while relaxing at the end of the day. Toe socks and wide-toe box shoes are part of my regular wardrobe. Thanks Will.

    My runs have been really good. Zero pain afterward. I've had no pain for multiple weeks now. The last time we spoke, I mentioned I was doing a roof job. It lasted about 6 days, and I had no pain, whereas before it would start right away. My feet have also adjusted to wearing my Jim Greens full-time at work now. Overall, I'm feeling great.

    I started working with Will to proactively build a better foundation for CrossFit movement and to address some lingering foot pain.     I injured my feet running on a curved manual treadmill - did too much, too fast, in xero shoes. I struggled along with foot/ankle pain for about a year. I was proactive but didn't have a program. My mileage went from 20 miles a week to maybe 5.

    Will listened to my problems. Watched me move via a video call. Then he developed a program and we tweaked it along the way.

    Over 2 months, I got about 80-85% recovered. I'm not 100%, but I'm still improving and can run and lift normally. I've shared a lot of the exercises with friends. I would use Will again and recommend him if you're having foot/ankle problems.

    I struggled with Achilles and Plantar Fasciitis pain for over a year. I tried traditional PT and every quick fix I could find on the internet. I was in a panic when the Achilles flared up just as my first marathon training was getting started.

    That's when I found Barefoot Will. He quickly evaluated where I was at and came up with a plan to get me to my immediate goal (completing the marathon) and beyond.     I had an old injury that wouldn't stop irritating me, I had gone to the doctors and they thought it was due to back issues, but it was more groin from my perspective. 2 years of pain and discomfort later I found Barefoot Will on Twitter/X.

    I decided to send him a DM after great success with the implementation of barefoot shoes into my life on his recommendation through just seeing his posts about them on twitter. We scheduled an intro call about where I was experiencing pain and during the call he explained his background, what had happened to my body in detail and how we could fix it.

    After the in depth explanation that he shared with me about my injury I went forward with training and rehab. Over the previous two years I was barely able to do legs, it was very on and off and most times I was barely able to walk or sit comfortably. Before my intro call I was ready to stop doing legs because of how much pain the previous session had put me in.

    Using the techniques and training plan I was given, legs is once again my favorite day to train at the gym and I can now do legs without pain. After I workout legs, it's the best I feel all week long and I look forward to training them instead of dreading it or deciding if I even can.

    I achieved great results during the program and have continued training as taught with additional variations and can not be more grateful for the strength gained, pain decrease and expertise I was provided.

    Alleviating 20 months of foot pain while trying to balance 100k training weeks at 45 years old with 30,000 lifetime miles on my legs was looking more hopeless by the week. I had come to the conclusion that I was either going to have to take a significant break, or, just deal with it until I couldn't anymore. Luckily I met Austin in September of 2024. We began working together a few weeks later and 2 months in, my feet feel consistently better than they have in well over a year (with zero time off).     I started my fitness journey in October of 2023, during this journey I lost over 70+ pounds and found a passion for running.

    After about 6 months of running I began to experience really bad heel pain and some pain in and around my achilles. I tried running through it for some time and it just became unbearable. I stopped running for over 9 months while trying numerous insoles, different shoes, home remedies, and nothing would ease the pain. I eventually went to a podiatrist who had the best ratings in town. They took X-rays of both of my feet and discovered I had heel spurs. The podiatrist recommended injections, another costly pair of insoles, and a calf stretcher. I tried the insoles, calf stretcher and recommended stretches and still had no relief. At this point, I was depressed because I really thought I would never run again.

    I saw Barefoot Will on my X feed one day and immediately scheduled a call. I had no expectations going into the call and just wanted to see what he would say. After the call, Will gave me a different and unique outlook on why I was having these problems. He explained why the recommendations from the podiatrist did not work and how his approach was completely different. At this point, I was really curious and sold. I signed up to begin his program on February 1st. He asked me my goals for the program and I told him I wanted to be able to run in an upcoming 5k and complete it. The 5k was less than two months away. Not only did I run and complete the 5k, I came in first place in the male category. Will got me back to running quickly and completely pain free.     Will doesn’t give you a cookie cutter program to follow. He tailors everything specific to your needs and goals. He also educates you on the WHY which is very important to maintain the progress. He helped me achieve things I thought I would never do again. Don’t make the mistake I made by trying everything else first and stumbling upon his program as my last resort.     I spent more than 10 years struggling with chronic pain in my feet. Podiatrist prescribed orthotic inserts were not providing relief. I could not walk or stand barefoot or in flip flops. Showering barefoot was uncomfortable.

    18 months after completion of the program, I experience ZERO daily chronic pain.

    This review is much overdue!

    There were a variety of feet issues that I needed to address, ranging from flat foot/collapsed arch, curling toe, and misaligned big toe from the First MTP and middle phalanges. Mostly accrued from wearing restrictive soccer cleats and shoes with small toe boxes over the years.

    I came across Barefoot Will'a social media accounts and booked a consultation. We then worked together over several months gradually increasing the intensity of exercises tailored to my specific needs.

    I was dealing with ankle tightness and foot pain and it was affecting my Strongman training. After following the protocol Austin (Barefoot Will) gave me, my ankles could move freely and my foot pain was eliminated. Shortly after fixing that I was able to rack pull 725 pounds!!

    I had issues with plantar fasciitis in both feet, especially my right one for about 9-10 months. It basically shut me down from running, walking the golf course, fully being able to play with my grandkids, etc.

    Tried all the “fixes” - shot, rolling pin, you name it, I tried it. None of them worked. Found Barefoot Will through a friend and got educated on what causes this issue and he correctly diagnosed mine had progressed to a degeneration of the plantar fascia.

    Have used his services for the past 4 1/2 months. It took a lot of work but it has been a game changer for me. I can now do all the things I could do before the issue arose and honestly have a much stronger base in my feet, knees, and hips.

    I struggled with chronic Plantar fasciitis for 2+ years until I met Will. 2+ years of every day foot pain that was affecting every aspect of my life.     Barefoot Will's excellent twitter content led me down the path of fixing my lazy feet. As a kid, I had plantar fascitis and achilles tendonitis. The standard of care led to orthotics and ultra supportive shoes. Over the decades, I noticed my overpronation got progressively worse. I continued to do nothing because I didn't have any issues or pain. Eventually, I just wanted to fix the overpronation.

    I've dealt with plantar fasciitis for 18 years. In the beginning it was only after running. The last two years it was all the time. I've done physical therapy, gotten several steroid shots, a prp injection and have worn a boot. Still it persisted.

    I started my fitness journey in October of 2023, during this journey I lost over 70+ pounds and found a passion for running.

    After about 6 months of running I began to experience really bad heel pain and some pain in and around my achilles. I tried running through it for some time and it just became unbearable. I stopped running for over 9 months while trying numerous insoles, different shoes, home remedies, and nothing would ease the pain. I eventually went to a podiatrist who had the best ratings in town. They took X-rays of both of my feet and discovered I had heel spurs. The podiatrist recommended injections, another costly pair of insoles, and a calf stretcher. I tried the insoles, calf stretcher and recommended stretches and still had no relief. At this point, I was depressed because I really thought I would never run again.

    I saw Barefoot Will on my X feed one day and immediately scheduled a call. I had no expectations going into the call and just wanted to see what he would say. After the call, Will gave me a different and unique outlook on why I was having these problems. He explained why the recommendations from the podiatrist did not work and how his approach was completely different. At this point, I was really curious and sold. I signed up to begin his program on February 1st. He asked me my goals for the program and I told him I wanted to be able to run in an upcoming 5k and complete it. The 5k was less than two months away. Not only did I run and complete the 5k, I came in first place in the male category. Will got me back to running quickly and completely pain free.     I was out of options when I learned about Barefoot Will from my son who is an internal medicine MD and who follows Will on X.


    I had Morton's neuroma, peroneal tendonitis, and hallux limitus. The orthopedic surgeon and podiatrist were out of ideas as injections and orthotics were not working. Even walking was painful primarily due to my neuroma and I had to quit the run part of my HIIT workout and playing pickleball.


    Will built a custom program for my situation and was extremely patient and continued to fine tune whenever a particular exercise was too painful. I also transitioned to wide toe box zero drop shoes and after 3 months my pain gradually dissipated by 90% and I'm able to resume my long walks and running. I plan on returning to pickleball in the summer.

    My foot pain was getting worse, and I knew I needed help. Luckily, I found an expert: Barefoot Will. Four months later, I couldn’t be happier.


    Like a lot of people, my pain was getting worse, not better, and I was frustrated. Working with my doctor hadn’t helped. The doctor gave me a quick diagnosis, and the same exercises I’d been given two decades ago, and was told it would take a very long time to recover. Months went by and things only got worse. I became concerned that I might soon be forced to give up my exercise walking.

    I’ve dealt with achilles issues on and off over the past 10ish years. Working with barefoot Will was awesome. I hired him when I was training for a 50k trail race.

    He put together a plan that fit my schedule and we adjusted based on the demands of my training.

    After crushing the 50k, I’ve since been able to compete in an Olympic Tri and have a full Ironman on the schedule coming up before the end of the year.

    I struggled with Achilles and Plantar Fasciitis pain for over a year. I tried traditional PT and every quick fix I could find on the internet. I was in a panic when the Achilles flared up just as my first marathon training was getting started.

    I hired Barefoot Will to help me out with mobility issues. I am 42 and I was limited in my two favorite activities; jiu-jitsu and lifting.

    He designed a plan for me that was easy to incorporate into my gym time and checked in frequently to see how I was doing or to make modifications.

    My runs have been really good. Zero pain afterward. I've had no pain for multiple weeks now. The last time we spoke, I mentioned I was doing a roof job.     I spent more than 10 years struggling with chronic pain in my feet. Podiatrist prescribed orthotic inserts were not providing relief. I could not walk or stand barefoot or in flip flops. Showering barefoot was uncomfortable.

    This review is much overdue!

    There were a variety of feet issues that I needed to address, ranging from flat foot/collapsed arch, curling toe, and misaligned big toe from the First MTP and middle phalanges. Mostly accrued from wearing restrictive soccer cleats and shoes with small toe boxes over the years.

    I came across Barefoot Will'a social media accounts and booked a consultation. We then worked together over several months gradually increasing the intensity of exercises tailored to my specific needs.

    I injured my feet running on a curved manual treadmill - did too much, too fast, in xero shoes. I struggled along with foot/ankle pain for about a year. I was proactive but didn't have a program. My mileage went from 20 miles a week to maybe 5.

    Will listened to my problems. Watched me move via a video call. Then he developed a program and we tweaked it along the way.

    Over 2 months, I got about 80-85% recovered. I'm not 100%, but I'm still improving and can run and lift normally. I've shared a lot of the exercises with friends. I would use Will again and recommend him if you're having foot/ankle problems.

    I had an old injury that wouldn't stop irritating me, I had gone to the doctors and they thought it was due to back issues, but it was more groin from my perspective. 2 years of pain and discomfort later I found Barefoot Will on Twitter/X.

    I decided to send him a DM after great success with the implementation of barefoot shoes into my life on his recommendation through just seeing his posts about them on twitter. We scheduled an intro call about where I was experiencing pain and during the call he explained his background, what had happened to my body in detail and how we could fix it.

    After the in depth explanation that he shared with me about my injury I went forward with training and rehab. Over the previous two years I was barely able to do legs, it was very on and off and most times I was barely able to walk or sit comfortably. Before my intro call I was ready to stop doing legs because of how much pain the previous session had put me in.

    Using the techniques and training plan I was given, legs is once again my favorite day to train at the gym and I can now do legs without pain. After I workout legs, it's the best I feel all week long and I look forward to training them instead of dreading it or deciding if I even can.

    Barefoot Will's excellent twitter content led me down the path of fixing my lazy feet. As a kid, I had plantar fascitis and achilles tendonitis. The standard of care led to orthotics and ultra supportive shoes. Over the decades, I noticed my overpronation got progressively worse. I continued to do nothing because I didn't have any issues or pain. Eventually, I just wanted to fix the overpronation.

    Alleviating 20 months of foot pain while trying to balance 100k training weeks at 45 years old with 30,000 lifetime miles on my legs was looking more hopeless by the week.     I've dealt with plantar fasciitis for 18 years. In the beginning it was only after running. The last two years it was all the time. I've done physical therapy, gotten several steroid shots, a prp injection and have worn a boot. Still it persisted.

    After another rough day on my feet I was scrolling on social media and came across Barefoot Will(Austin).

    The foot cramps have gone away as well as the knee pain. I have been doing the mobility exercises as well as some stretching. I have been wearing Flux shoes for about a month and absolutely love them.

    Also I started taking a collagen supplement and noticed it has helped my joints a lot.

    I started my fitness journey in October of 2023, during this journey I lost over 70+ pounds and found a passion for running.

    After about 6 months of running I began to experience really bad heel pain and some pain in and around my achilles. I tried running through it for some time and it just became unbearable. I stopped running for over 9 months while trying numerous insoles, different shoes, home remedies, and nothing would ease the pain. I eventually went to a podiatrist who had the best ratings in town. They took X-rays of both of my feet and discovered I had heel spurs. The podiatrist recommended injections, another costly pair of insoles, and a calf stretcher. I tried the insoles, calf stretcher and recommended stretches and still had no relief. At this point, I was depressed because I really thought I would never run again.

    I saw Barefoot Will on my X feed one day and immediately scheduled a call. I had no expectations going into the call and just wanted to see what he would say. After the call, Will gave me a different and unique outlook on why I was having these problems. He explained why the recommendations from the podiatrist did not work and how his approach was completely different. At this point, I was really curious and sold. I signed up to begin his program on February 1st. He asked me my goals for the program and I told him I wanted to be able to run in an upcoming 5k and complete it. The 5k was less than two months away. Not only did I run and complete the 5k, I came in first place in the male category. Will got me back to running quickly and completely pain free.     I was out of options when I learned about Barefoot Will from my son who is an internal medicine MD and who follows Will on X.


    I had Morton's neuroma, peroneal tendonitis, and hallux limitus. The orthopedic surgeon and podiatrist were out of ideas as injections and orthotics were not working. Even walking was painful primarily due to my neuroma and I had to quit the run part of my HIIT workout and playing pickleball.


    Will built a custom program for my situation and was extremely patient and continued to fine tune whenever a particular exercise was too painful. I also transitioned to wide toe box zero drop shoes and after 3 months my pain gradually dissipated by 90% and I'm able to resume my long walks and running.     My foot pain was getting worse, and I knew I needed help. Luckily, I found an expert: Barefoot Will. Four months later, I couldn’t be happier.


    Like a lot of people, my pain was getting worse, not better, and I was frustrated. Working with my doctor hadn’t helped. The doctor gave me a quick diagnosis, and the same exercises I’d been given two decades ago, and was told it would take a very long time to recover. Months went by and things only got worse. I became concerned that I might soon be forced to give up my exercise walking.

    I struggled with Achilles and Plantar Fasciitis pain for over a year. I tried traditional PT and every quick fix I could find on the internet. I was in a panic when the Achilles flared up just as my first marathon training was getting started.

    I hired Barefoot Will to help me out with mobility issues. I am 42 and I was limited in my two favorite activities; jiu-jitsu and lifting.

    He designed a plan for me that was easy to incorporate into my gym time and checked in frequently to see how I was doing or to make modifications.

    My runs have been really good. Zero pain afterward. I've had no pain for multiple weeks now. The last time we spoke, I mentioned I was doing a roof job.     I spent more than 10 years struggling with chronic pain in my feet. Podiatrist prescribed orthotic inserts were not providing relief. I could not walk or stand barefoot or in flip flops. Showering barefoot was uncomfortable.

    I struggled with chronic Plantar fasciitis for 2+ years until I met Will. 2+ years of every day foot pain that was affecting every aspect of my life.     I had issues with plantar fasciitis in both feet, especially my right one for about 9-10 months. It basically shut me down from running, walking the golf course, fully being able to play with my grandkids, etc.

    Tried all the “fixes” - shot, rolling pin, you name it, I tried it. None of them worked. Found Barefoot Will through a friend and got educated on what causes this issue and he correctly diagnosed mine had progressed to a degeneration of the plantar fascia.

    This review is much overdue!

    There were a variety of feet issues that I needed to address, ranging from flat foot/collapsed arch, curling toe, and misaligned big toe from the First MTP and middle phalanges. Mostly accrued from wearing restrictive soccer cleats and shoes with small toe boxes over the years.

    I came across Barefoot Will'a social media accounts and booked a consultation. We then worked together over several months gradually increasing the intensity of exercises tailored to my specific needs.

    Within the first month I could see noticeable changes both in my balance and ability to completely splay the toes.

    I definitely recommend Barefoot Will's services to anyone that's been struggling with ankle pain, bunions, or other potentially correctable feet issues you're struggling with. I was blown away by his knowledgeable Austin is and the patience and care he gives you individually. 10/10!

    I injured my feet running on a curved manual treadmill - did too much, too fast, in xero shoes. I struggled along with foot/ankle pain for about a year. I was proactive but didn't have a program. My mileage went from 20 miles a week to maybe 5.

    Will listened to my problems. Watched me move via a video call. Then he developed a program and we tweaked it along the way.

    Over 2 months, I got about 80-85% recovered. I'm not 100%, but I'm still improving and can run and lift normally. I've shared a lot of the exercises with friends. I would use Will again and recommend him if you're having foot/ankle problems.

    I've dealt with plantar fasciitis for 18 years. In the beginning it was only after running. The last two years it was all the time. I've done physical therapy, gotten several steroid shots, a prp injection and have worn a boot. Still it persisted.

    The foot cramps have gone away as well as the knee pain. I have been doing the mobility exercises as well as some stretching. I have been wearing Flux shoes for about a month and absolutely love them.

    Also I started taking a collagen supplement and noticed it has helped my joints a lot.

    After running consistently for over a decade I had a sudden bout of posterior tibial tendonitis that would not resolve. I went over a year without running and my activity was limited. I did physical therapy and wore supportive shoes at all times to try to alleviate the pain.

    I struggled with chronic Plantar fasciitis for 2+ years until I met Will. 2+ years of every day foot pain that was affecting every aspect of my life.     I have a child with CMT which is a peripheral neuropathy which has affected the structure of her foot.

    I struggled with Achilles and Plantar Fasciitis pain for over a year. I tried traditional PT and every quick fix I could find on the internet. I was in a panic when the Achilles flared up just as my first marathon training was getting started.

    I had an old injury that wouldn't stop irritating me, I had gone to the doctors and they thought it was due to back issues, but it was more groin from my perspective. 2 years of pain and discomfort later I found Barefoot Will on Twitter/X.

    I decided to send him a DM after great success with the implementation of barefoot shoes into my life on his recommendation through just seeing his posts about them on twitter. We scheduled an intro call about where I was experiencing pain and during the call he explained his background, what had happened to my body in detail and how we could fix it.

    After the in depth explanation that he shared with me about my injury I went forward with training and rehab. Over the previous two years I was barely able to do legs, it was very on and off and most times I was barely able to walk or sit comfortably. Before my intro call I was ready to stop doing legs because of how much pain the previous session had put me in.

    Using the techniques and training plan I was given, legs is once again my favorite day to train at the gym and I can now do legs without pain. After I workout legs, it's the best I feel all week long and I look forward to training them instead of dreading it or deciding if I even can.

    I achieved great results during the program and have continued training as taught with additional variations and can not be more grateful for the strength gained, pain decrease and expertise I was provided.

    My runs have been really good. Zero pain afterward. I've had no pain for multiple weeks now. The last time we spoke, I mentioned I was doing a roof job. It lasted about 6 days, and I had no pain, whereas before it would start right away. My feet have also adjusted to wearing my Jim Greens full-time at work now. Overall, I'm feeling great.

    Alleviating 20 months of foot pain while trying to balance 100k training weeks at 45 years old with 30,000 lifetime miles on my legs was looking more hopeless by the week.     I spent more than 10 years struggling with chronic pain in my feet. Podiatrist prescribed orthotic inserts were not providing relief. I could not walk or stand barefoot or in flip flops. Showering barefoot was uncomfortable.

    I’ve dealt with achilles issues on and off over the past 10ish years. Working with barefoot Will was awesome. I hired him when I was training for a 50k trail race.

    He put together a plan that fit my schedule and we adjusted based on the demands of my training.

    After crushing the 50k, I’ve since been able to compete in an Olympic Tri and have a full Ironman on the schedule coming up before the end of the year.

    There were a variety of feet issues that I needed to address, ranging from flat foot/collapsed arch, curling toe, and misaligned big toe from the First MTP and middle phalanges. Mostly accrued from wearing restrictive soccer cleats and shoes with small toe boxes over the years.

    I came across Barefoot Will'a social media accounts and booked a consultation. We then worked together over several months gradually increasing the intensity of exercises tailored to my specific needs.

    Within the first month I could see noticeable changes both in my balance and ability to completely splay the toes.

    I definitely recommend Barefoot Will's services to anyone that's been struggling with ankle pain, bunions, or other potentially correctable feet issues you're struggling with. I was blown away by his knowledgeable Austin is and the patience and care he gives you individually. 10/10!

    I had issues with plantar fasciitis in both feet, especially my right one for about 9-10 months. It basically shut me down from running, walking the golf course, fully being able to play with my grandkids, etc.

    Tried all the “fixes” - shot, rolling pin, you name it, I tried it. None of them worked. Found Barefoot Will through a friend and got educated on what causes this issue and he correctly diagnosed mine had progressed to a degeneration of the plantar fascia.

    Have used his services for the past 4 1/2 months. It took a lot of work but it has been a game changer for me. I can now do all the things I could do before the issue arose and honestly have a much stronger base in my feet, knees, and hips.

    I hired Barefoot Will to help me out with mobility issues. I am 42 and I was limited in my two favorite activities; jiu-jitsu and lifting.

    He designed a plan for me that was easy to incorporate into my gym time and checked in frequently to see how I was doing or to make modifications.

    With his program I saw improvement relatively quickly. I'm not 100% to where I want to be but I'm way better than I was before meeting him. I incorporate his exercises into lifting sessions, warming up for jiu-jitsu, and stretching on off days and I feel way better.

    Barefoot Will's excellent twitter content led me down the path of fixing my lazy feet. As a kid, I had plantar fascitis and achilles tendonitis. The standard of care led to orthotics and ultra supportive shoes. Over the decades, I noticed my overpronation got progressively worse. I continued to do nothing because I didn't have any issues or pain. Eventually, I just wanted to fix the overpronation.

    I started my fitness journey in October of 2023, during this journey I lost over 70+ pounds and found a passion for running.

    After about 6 months of running I began to experience really bad heel pain and some pain in and around my achilles. I tried running through it for some time and it just became unbearable. I stopped running for over 9 months while trying numerous insoles, different shoes, home remedies, and nothing would ease the pain. I eventually went to a podiatrist who had the best ratings in town. They took X-rays of both of my feet and discovered I had heel spurs. The podiatrist recommended injections, another costly pair of insoles, and a calf stretcher. I tried the insoles, calf stretcher and recommended stretches and still had no relief. At this point, I was depressed because I really thought I would never run again.

    I saw Barefoot Will on my X feed one day and immediately scheduled a call. I had no expectations going into the call and just wanted to see what he would say. After the call, Will gave me a different and unique outlook on why I was having these problems. He explained why the recommendations from the podiatrist did not work and how his approach was completely different. At this point, I was really curious and sold. I signed up to begin his program on February 1st. He asked me my goals for the program and I told him I wanted to be able to run in an upcoming 5k and complete it. The 5k was less than two months away. Not only did I run and complete the 5k, I came in first place in the male category. Will got me back to running quickly and completely pain free. Now as his program ends, I am back to running three days a week and loving every bit of it.

    I injured my feet running on a curved manual treadmill - did too much, too fast, in xero shoes. I struggled along with foot/ankle pain for about a year. I was proactive but didn't have a program. My mileage went from 20 miles a week to maybe 5.

    Will listened to my problems. Watched me move via a video call. Then he developed a program and we tweaked it along the way.

    Over 2 months, I got about 80-85% recovered. I'm not 100%, but I'm still improving and can run and lift normally. I've shared a lot of the exercises with friends. I would use Will again and recommend him if you're having foot/ankle problems.

How long will the 1on1 Coaching Program take?

Every’body’ is different, meaning your situation is unique The initial program is 4 months. 88% of my clients complete the program within this timeframe. Some clients obtain success within the first 1-2 months If you are seeing progress and want to continue working with me longer than 4 months, there is a significant price reduction

Can we continue working together after the initial 4 months even if I’m pain free?

Yes, I have several clients who choose to continue working with me on a monthly/yearly basis for more personal training style coaching

Will I have to continue doing foot/ankle exercises indefinitely after the program?

Not likely, once you build the mind-muscle connection with your foundation, the body does not like to lose it’s capabilities (unless you give it a reason to) Some clients do choose to continue doing some foundational-focused exercises as an ‘insurance policy’

What about after the program?

You will be provided a full exercise database including all exercises completed inside the program as well as progressive exercises to compliment your future training.
